Congratulations to your player on earning a place with Wizard Cadence OB FC. We are excited to welcome new families—and welcome returning families back—for the year ahead.

Complete a separate set of forms for each child in the program. Use your most current contact information because the email address you provide will receive club announcements, game and practice information, weather notices, and other administrative updates.

LeagueApps
New club families need to create a LeagueApps account and download the LeagueApps Play app. John Roberts will include the registration link for your player’s specific team in the congratulations email. Team placement is an estimate and may change if a roster cannot be filled.
During registration, choose “Pay Later” if your intention is to pay via Check, Zelle or Venmo. Otherwise make the requested payment in League Apps. Have the completed required forms, your child’s birth certificate, and a passport-style headshot ready before you begin.
Uniforms
WCOB will use the same uniforms for 2026–27. Returning players only need to order if they have outgrown their kit. New players need the complete package: home and away jerseys, practice jersey, black shorts, socks, and a personalized backpack.
New players, and returning players requesting a different number, should email their top three number choices in preference order to jaroberts@venable.com after ordering.
Extra socks, practice jerseys, and shorts may also be ordered. The gray jersey is the practice jersey. Order promptly because Nike uniforms have significant lead times before the fall season.
General size guidance
- U7–U10: YS or YM often fits well
- U11–U13: YM, YL, or YXL often fits well
- Older players: AS, AM, or AL are common
Allow room for growth and consult the Nike size chart if you are unsure.
Schedules
Fall training
August 17–November 6
Outdoor practices are planned to begin Monday, August 17.
League matches
September 12–13 target
Some teams may also attend a nearby preseason tournament on August 22 or 29.
Detailed fall tournament and proposed practice schedules will be sent after park district permits are received, generally in early August. WCOB will try to keep returning teams’ practice schedules similar to the prior year and coordinate workable times for new teams.
YSSL and NISL generally release final league game schedules in late August. WCOB will share and load them into LeagueApps as soon as they are received.
Practice locations
Practice schedules will be available in League Apps. Due to players from Joliet and Oak Brook mixed together on teams, parents will see training schedules for both locations. We leave it up to the parent to decide which location to attend. You can attend either location.
Tournaments
One tournament in the fall and one in the spring are included in tuition. The club may choose additional tournaments during each season at an extra cost. Participation depends on player availability and having enough players to compete.
How an additional tournament works

Tournament team created
Your player is added to a new team in LeagueApps named for the tournament and its dates—for example, Nike Elite (May 16–18).

Payment plan assigned
A payment plan is applied to every player added to the tournament team.

Details emailed
You receive an email with the tournament details, payment-plan information, and anything else you need to know.

RSVP requested
A tournament event is created in LeagueApps. Please accept or decline promptly so the team can confirm that enough players are available. If you decline, the payment plan will be voided and you will be removed from the team. If we are unable to fill a team, the team will change to Nike Elite (Cancelled), the tournament event will be cancelled and all payments will be refunded or voided.

Schedules posted
Schedules will be posted within the team event. Check with the coach on advancement games such as semi-finals or finals. These games may not show up in LeagueApps because they cannot be predicted in advance.

Pay by Zelle at 312-953-6298 or Venmo at @John-Roberts-957. Waiting until one week before the tournament is recommended. A cancelled tournament will be refunded.
Use the monthly automated payment plan with the card saved in LeagueApps. Payments are spread over several weeks.
